Sample Itinerary – 3 Day Retreat
Our writer’s retreats are designed to let you choose how much interaction and engagement you want to participate it. If you want to join the group for activities, that’s up to you. If you want to explore on your own – that’s fine too.
Day 0 – Athens, Greece
- Arrive in Athens: make your way to your accommodation. (Choose and book your own or take advantage of our recommendations and partner options)
- Evening: Peer Networking Event (Optional). Meet hosts and other writers for drinks at a rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis.
Day 1 – Athens to Agistri
- Morning: Ferry from Pireus to Agistri. One and a half hours on the slow boat, via Aegina. Sit on the Free WIFI, food and drink available on board.
- Midday: Hotel Check In.
- Afternoon: Group Lunch (Included). Enjoy 180 degree views of the Saronic Gulf while you choose from a menu of fresh seafood, local vegetarian pies and salads.
- Evening: Free time to explore – walk into town, write or meet in the bar for more networking.
Day 2 – Agistri, Greece
- Morning: Breakfast
- Morning: Writing Workshop (Optional). Facilitated workshop. Method, planning, character development, using AI in your process. Or… explore the island and write as you wish.
- Afternoon: Group Lunch (Optional). Enjoy 180 degree views of the Saronic Gulf while you choose from a menu of fresh seafood, local vegetarian pies and salads.
- Evening: Free time to explore – walk into town, write or meet in the bar for more networking.
Day 3 – Agistri to Athens…
- Morning: Breakfast
- Morning: Writing Workshop (Optional). Facilitated workshop. Tips for production, distribution and marketing. Or… explore the island and write as you wish.
- Afternoon: Group Lunch (Optional). Enjoy 180 degree views of the Saronic Gulf while you choose from a menu of fresh seafood, local vegetarian pies and salads.
- Evening: Ferry to Athens.
